The day I agreed with Sadie Fields & D.A. King

I've been meaning to write about this for about 3 weeks now, but more pressing matters got the better of me. Anyways, I was sitting in the gallery of the Georgia Senate when SB529 (the Georgia Security/Immigration Compliance Act) was passed, and I had the great pleasure (or displeasure depending on whom you ask) of sitting behind Sadie Fields (Chair of the Georgia Christian Coalition) and D.A. King (President of the Dustin Inman Society). Both of these individuals were in support of comprensive immigration reform on both the state and national levels & were glad when the bill passed the Senate, and I have to say (and this will probably never happen again) that I happen to agree with them.

I think you all know my opinion on the subject of illegal aliens and illegal immigration, since I've written extensively on the subject this year (Click here, here, here, and here to see what I'm talking about), and while there are several ways in which SB529 could (and should be strengthened), I still believe that the bill is a good starting point and should be passed into law.

And by the way, I am more than willing to defend my position on this issue through the course of a civil debate.
