State Sen. Dan Weber talks about Genarlow Wilson

On April 17th, I reported, in the entry "Emanuel Jones makes another attempt for Genarlow Wilson", that the Georgia Senate rejected an amendment offered by state Sen. Emanuel Jones (D - Decatur) that would have applied the "Romeo & Juliet" provisions of Georgia's sex offender law to Genarlow Wilson.

The amendment to House Bill 197 failed on a vote of 19 - 32. During the debate leading up to that vote, state Sen. Dan Weber (R - Dunwoody), a co-sponsor of the amendment along with Sen. Jones, spoke in favor of the measure; and I've been wanting to post the video of his remarks online for awhile now.

Today, I finally got around to doing it, which is pretty convenient considering that a judge is considering Genarlow Wilson's appeal today (Read the AJC article "Judge to rule Monday on teen imprisoned for consensual sex")
